The Great South Run 2025 comes to Southsea, Portsmouth on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October, and The Jolly Sailor Southsea is ready to welcome runners and spectators alike!

We’ll be open for breakfast from 9am to midday on Sunday 19th October for the main race day, serving hot breakfast baps, freshly brewed tea, and coffee. The perfect pre-race fuel or spectator treat.

Located on Clarence Parade, Southsea, just moments from Southsea Common and the Great South Run course, The Jolly Sailor offers the ideal spot to fuel up and watch the race in comfort. There’s no need to book for breakfast — simply turn up, grab a bap, and enjoy the electric race-day atmosphere.

Enjoy a Traditional Sunday Roast in Southsea – Booking Essential

After cheering on the runners or crossing the finish line yourself, join us from midday to 6pm for our delicious Sunday roasts and Sunday menu.
